Mission Statement
Under the direction of Service Department Foreman Cory Schultz, the Service Department is responsible for the maintenance of 35.317 miles of Township dedicated roadways, Township owned equipment, and Township owned buildings.
There are 4 full time employees regularly on-call during the winter months, with additional on-call personnel utilized throughout the year as needed.
The Service Department works closely with the Medina County Highway Engineer, Medina County Parks, Brunswick City Service Department, and the Cemetery Sexton, as needed.
This department is responsible for handling snow removal and ice control for approximately 70 lane miles of Township roadways with hills, school bus routes, and interstate overpasses given priority.
Some of the regular road maintenance includes asphalt patching, berming, roadside ditching, culvert pipe replacement to ensure proper road drainage, mowing of Township owned open space and facilities, tree trimming, and keeping storm sewers free of ice and debris.
When purchasing a vehicle license plate or renewal, a portion of the fee goes to your residential taxing district. Be sure to indicate “Brunswick Hills Township” as your taxing district. This will keep a portion of your tax dollars where you live and drive.
