Welcome to Brunswick Hills Township!
Thank you to Trustee Michael Esber for 16 years of service to the residents of Brunswick Hills Township! Best wishes to Mike with his retirement effective January 01, 2022. You will be greatly missed.
Brunswick Hills Township was established in 1960 by a group of residents who preferred a Township form of government. Townships, the grass roots form of local government are governed by three elected Trustees. A separately elected Fiscal Officer processes our Township annual budget of over $5 million dollars. The Ohio Revised Code does not permit a local income tax. Over 60% of our property taxes support schools. We are within two school districts; Brunswick and Highland both have been given an “Excellent” rating by the State of Ohio. The remainder supports County programs including parks, libraries, county home, health department, achievement center, anti-drug task force and general county budget.
Brunswick Hills seeks to preserve a way of life rich with natural surroundings. From rural homes and small farms, open space in planned developments and two county parks, Plum Creek and Princess Ledges, we have an abundance of wildlife and outstanding natural features. Citizen action added over 80 acres, including a native hardwood forest to Plum Creek Park in 2003. Whether you live in a planned development with open space, on a large acre lot, family farm or in one of the several apartment complexes and condo/cluster lifestyle homes, we invite you to participate and learn more about Brunswick Hills Township.
